Brazilian rider Lucas Divino delivered a stellar performance in Houston, winning the 9th stop of the PBR’s Unleash The Beast series, the premier division of professional bull riding, this past weekend.

This marks Divino’s second victory of the season, having previously triumphed in New York City just two weeks ago. With his recent success, he climbed to the No. 2 position in the world rankings.

Entering Saturday night’s championship round as the event leader, after scoring 87.75 and 89.75 points in the first two rounds, Divino sealed his victory with a sensational 90.25-point ride aboard the bull Ricky Vaughn. This win marks the fourth elite-level title of his PBR career.

With 133.50 points earned in Houston, the Goiás native now totals 400.00 points for the season, sitting just 77.50 points behind current leader John Crimber, who finished seventh at the event.

Luciano de Castro secured second place, delivering two rides scoring above 90 points. The three-time Brazilian champion, who reached the milestone of 200 rides in the PBR’s top tier this weekend, climbed to the 8th spot in the standings.

Brady Fielder continued his impressive streak, nearly securing back-to-back victories, but settled for third place, maintaining his hold on the No. 3 position in the world rankings.

Rounding out the event’s Top 5, Adriano Salgado finished fourth, while former world champion Kaique Pacheco achieved his best result of the season with a fifth-place finish.

In the overall standings, John Crimber remains in the lead, followed by Divino in second, Fielder in third, and Dalton Kasel, who dropped to fourth after failing to score in Houston. Júlio César Marques completes the Top 5.

The next Unleash The Beast event is set for January 24-25 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Additionally, Fort Worth will host the next edition of the Last Cowboy Standing on Tuesday and Wednesday, offering riders another opportunity to earn points toward the world championship race.
