Brady Fielder Extends Streak to 12 Consecutive Rides Without a Buckoff

by rodeowins

Leading the PBR world standings, Brady Fielder continues to prove why he is one of the top contenders for this season’s championship, solidifying his name among the sport’s greats.

Aiming to become only the second Australian to claim the PBR World Championship, the Texas Rattlers rider delivered an outstanding performance at last weekend’s event in Louisville, Kentucky. With remarkable consistency, he secured a second-place finish and notched his fourth consecutive event placing within the top four.

Fielder had yet another flawless weekend, successfully covering all three bulls he faced and extending his streak to 12 consecutive qualified rides at the PBR’s elite level. His last buckoff occurred on February 15, making this achievement even more impressive.

Throughout the history of PBR’s premier division, only seven riders had previously reached this milestone, with the feat being accomplished just nine times in total. Among those who have recorded 12 straight qualified rides are legends like Silvano Alves, the all-time record holder, as well as J.B. Mauney, Adriano Moraes, Guilherme Marchi, Valdiron de Oliveira, Justin McBride, and José Vitor Leme, who was the last to achieve it during his 2021 championship-winning season.

If Fielder successfully rides all four bulls he faces at the next event, he will tie the historic mark set by J.B. Mauney, who holds the second-longest streak in PBR history, trailing only Silvano Alves’ record.

Known for his remarkable consistency, the Australian has posted scores in 13 of the 15 events he has competed in this year, finishing six of them without a single buckoff. His current stats boast 31 qualified rides in 43 attempts, an outstanding 72% riding percentage.

At the end of last month, Fielder reached an elite milestone by surpassing $1 million in career earnings in PBR, becoming only the second Australian to achieve this feat and the 53rd rider overall to do so.
