In a thrilling display of skill and determination at the PBR Chicago event, Brazilian rider Cassio Dias showcased his dominance, going 3-for-3 and securing his third Unleash The Beast victory of the season. Dias, representing the Kansas City Outlaws, reclaimed the No. 1 rank in the 2024 World Championship race, surpassing the injured Austin Richardson.
Eduardo Aparecido of the Arizona Ridge Riders secured the second spot in the competition, earning 92.5 Unleash The Beast points. His stellar performance moved him from No. 8 to No. 3 in the standings, trailing Dias by 345 points.
Alex Cerqueira, riding for the Florida Freedom team, clinched a third-place finish with a flawless 3-for-3 showing. His strategic decision to face Roc Wit It in the championship round paid off, earning him an event-best 89 points and propelling him from No. 30 to No. 15 in the standings.
Australian rider Brady Fielder of the Texas Rattlers claimed the fourth position, accumulating 56.5 Unleash The Beast points. Fielder’s consistent performance moved him from No. 9 to No. 4 in the 2024 World Championship race.
Cort McFadden, representing the Austin Gamblers, rounded out the Top 5 despite stumbling in the championship round. McFadden, fresh off a mid-week event win in Denver, showcased his skills but fell short of securing his first Unleash The Beast victory.
In the bull pen, Red Demon was crowned the YETI “Built for the Wild” Bull of the Event, showcasing an impressive performance in the championship round.
As the 2024 PBR Unleash The Beast standings reflect, Cassio Dias leads the pack with 611.50 points, followed by Austin Richardson with 503.50 points. Eduardo Aparecido, Brady Fielder, and Alan de Souza complete the Top 5, setting the stage for an intense battle in the upcoming events.
The PBR Unleash The Beast series now heads to BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the Express Ranches PBR Tulsa, presented by Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Tulsa, scheduled for Friday, January 19, at 7:45 p.m. CT and Saturday, January 20, at 6:45 p.m. CT.
In other PBR events, Marco Rizzo secured his career-first win at PBR Charleston, dominating the competition and earning 113.5 Velocity Global points.
